Ngawang Sangdrol, shortly after arriving in the US

MESSAGE TO SFT MEMBERS FROM NGAWANG SANGDROL:

Dear friends, Students for a Free Tibet, who have stood in support of truth,

Although I did not get the opportunity to meet all of you recently, I know what and how much you have done towards supporting the cause of Tibet, for which I am most grateful and happy, and I sincerely thank you.

It is evident that the release of political prisoners, like Takna Jigme Sangpo la, Ngawang Choephel la, and myself is the result of your worldwide efforts and support for the cause of Tibet. For this noble work I thank you once again. Nonetheless, there are a number of political prisoners, both male and female, such as Phuntsog Nydron la and others, who are still suffering even more cruelty than I have suffered, especially the nun Janchrub Dolma. I appeal to you to work for the rights of these prisoners, so that they may enjoy their freedom like I am now able to do.

I especially request you to continue to support the policies of His Holiness the Dalai Lama so that the people of Tibet can gain justice soon.
