On September 21-25, Students for a Free Tibet will host Art for Tibet II in New York City.
To
highlight the resilience of Tibetan culture in the face of China's
colonial oppression, more than 100 artists from around the world will
be exhibiting works at the event. Since 1959, Tibetans have
courageously fought for their rights while
building a grassroots movement that today spans the globe. Art for
Tibet honors that amazing achievement while raising much needed funds
to continue the struggle for human rights and freedom in Tibet.

The
diverse group of artists participating in the show includes
contemporary artists from New York, Los Angeles, Paris, San Francisco,
Kathmandu, London, and Germany, as well as some of the best-known
contemporary Tibetan artists at work today.
Many of the artwork
exhibited will be sold at $100, making this show a great opportunity
for activists and art aficionados alike to purchase original art while
supporting the Tibetan freedom movement. The rest of the works will be
sold in a silent auction, with bids starting at $250. All proceeds from
the benefit will go to support Students for a Free Tibet's work for
Tibetan freedom.
