HIRING: Development Coordinator

Students for a Free Tibet is seeking a Development Coordinator to work closely with the SFT HQ team in organizing SFT’s major events, fundraisers, and contribute to the overall branding of the organization. This position will report directly to the Executive Director. 

TERMS OF CONTRACT:

Title: Development Coordinator

Contract time starts: February 1, 2022

Time Commitment: 16 hours/week

Method of Performance: The part-time staff member will work primarily at Students for a Free Tibet’s HQ office unless otherwise specified. There will be a review after a probationary period of 3 months. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute long-term plans to meet annual revenue goals including but not limited to monthly donor stewardship and fundraising events
  • Organize and produce effective fundraising campaigns and special events both in-person and virtual that appeal to current and potential donors including end of year fundraising, Giving Tuesday, Longsho Nite, Art for Tibet, benefit concerts, Facebook Birthday Causes, and other ad-hoc projects, etc.
  • Manage and grow giving opportunities including the Corporate Match activation program and tweet-based donation project with Momentum
  • Locating new funding sources and foundations
  • Respond to donor correspondence by email, mail, and phone in a timely manner 
  • Create donor pamphlets to be shared with potential donors, update the donation page on SFT’s website, and work with web designer to create landing pages for fundraising campaigns when needed 
  • SFT merch marketing, sales, and strategy
  • Alongside the Communications Director work on weekly members’ messages and maintain SFT’s online membership database
  • Work closely with Graphic Designer to create custom graphics and videos for fundraising campaigns
  • Manage the SFT annual newsletter along with the staff and provide assistance for the production of mass newsletter mailings
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement creative approaches to enhance the branding of the organization
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by SFT’s Executive Director 

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior work experience in the field of fundraising and development. Understanding of SFT’s mission and campaigns. Comfort communicating with and writing to donors. Project management experience preferred.
