The Resolve Tibet Act (H.R. 533) PASSES the U.S. House of Representatives!!
After over a year of advocacy, petitions, canvassing, and lobbying meetings by SFT grassroots chapter-members and partner organizations, this landmark bill now heads to the Senate before the President can sign it into law.
If this bill becomes law, it would make it official U.S. policy that the Tibetan people’s have the right to self-determination.
It would also make America’s official position to define Tibet as not just the TAR but also the historically Tibetan areas of Qinghai, Sichuan, Gansu, and Yunnan.
In addition, the U.S. government would recognize the Tibet-China conflict as unresolved.
